I wonder who the "No Deer in Ohio" quote is referring to?
As if I din't know lolol !
Yes me,..

I said that like over a year ago and if you ask me today I will still say that there's not the deer I used to see 10 years ago.
But in my opinion that's due to the 7 deer being aloud to be harvested per year per hunter.
Now not saying that every deer hunter takes their limit,...but I believe 2 deer are plenty for any person, and if you have family members in the same household,..2 deer is still PLENTY for the freezer.
Everyone has their own opinion about how many deer are available to hunt,..some people live in areas where deer are more populated then in other areas.
As a resident in Greenville Ohio you may see more deer then someone from Columbus,..and people that live in Athen's are surely to see even more deer in their area then in Greenville.
It all has to do with Location, Location, Location. And then you can add the private part to it as well.Public lands don't hold the deer population as private lands do.
So as I said in a post on another site,..If you are seeing deer ALOT of deer I should add,..You are one of the lucky ones and should thank God above that you have that blessing.
NOW I will say this,.. (and this is in no way a contradiction of what I posted before), but this past season I did see a lot more deer then previous years.
It could have been because I have a better job now and I get out more then I did before to scout public hunting areas. And it could also be the product of BAD weather last year (2008-2009 season, compared to this year when the weather was alot better. So more gun hunters were out pushing deer then last year.
So there's more to it then just location,..there's weather, and the time to scout out lands.
Hopefully I got to explain more of how I think,..and where I am coming from.
