| :4: Yeah that's right I have been on that soap box for a longtime.
Talkin' about our lands going away,when we have soooo many ghettos that need to be torn down,or refurbished.Shopping malls,and centers and other big structures just sittin' empty,needing to be torn down or refurbished for something like low cost housing,school buildings,etc.
Instead the rich want to keep buying up and developing our woods and fields.
And really who can blame them,with the way the economy is right now,farmers and land owners alike would sell their own mothers legs for money.
It's too bad that a hunting community can't get it's differences together and join forces and purchase some lands of their own.
Again it's the rich helping the rich,and the poor,just take it and suck on it.
All I can say is ,...I wish I would hit the Mega Million lottery,.. I mean big time lottery,...my first thing would be to seek out as much land as I could,...woods,fields etc.
And BUY IT !!! But about the only developing I would do to it would put in fences,and gates,and maybe some shelters for all my hunting friends and theirs.It would be a HUNTING CLUB !!!
I know it's only a dream,but it is something I feel needs to happen to a few of us,and wish it would. If it did,I believe hunters would have alot more to look forward to and so would our kids and theirs.
Can any of you remember when you were young and hunted and fished on a certain land?
And how many can remember being able to do so on just about every,and anywhere you went or wanted for that matter?
NOW,..think about today the present,...those opportunities just aren't there,...all due to OVER Developing,and the WASTING of our Natural resources and GREED !!
I believe we all should have the chance to live,and play where we want,but to build and abuse what we have is down right STUPID!!
As a human race we ALL need to use what is going to waste,and redo it !!
And what we haven't touched ,just leave it alone.Allow it to stay natural,& beautiful and enjoy it for as many years as possible.
God put us (HUMANS),in charge of ALL living things,and our habitats,our environments,...everything.And this is how we show him we can take care of something so beautiful,...that we destroy it and abuse it as if another will take it's place.And here's the thing folks,..it won't come back,once we have destroyed it all we are OUT OF LUCK !!That's it,..no more hunting,fishing,camping,hiking,bird watching,or nature watching.Like the movie " I Am Legend",..(without the zombies),soon that is what we are looking at,..our extinction of ourselves,and our lands and natural resources.
I know I am just typing and none of this will ever be done,..why?
It's very simple,...some of us are just "TOO" Human for our own good !!!
And supposonly,..we are the smarter animal,..we on the contrary,..we are the STUPIDEST !!
