I found this article on NBC4i.com,..and there's already people complaining about the hunters, making too much noise with their firearms and that they shoot to close to the houses etc etc etc,....I guess the Crenlin Gremlin lives on.
Here's the article,..

Quote:
"It sounded like cannons going off, like we had a war going on out back.”
It wasn’t cannons that startled Candy Cook Labor Day morning. It was gunshots from geese hunters in a field just off Havens Corner Road in Pataskala.
Neighbors feel a warning was in order.
"They probably didn’t because they went around and told us what they were going to do, we would not have allowed it,” said Pataskala resident Ron Summers.
NBC4 did some fact checking on the hunting of geese.
Here’s what you need to know.
"Canada Geese are a game animal in the state of Ohio. And we have seasons on the species,” explained Ron Rogers with the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.
The early hunting season for geese and other birds runs from September first through the 15TH. Shooting begins at 7am and ends at dusk. Hunters can kill three a day. Hunters must get permission from property owners to hunt on their land.
As for where hunters can shoot, every city in Central Ohio has an ordinance on shooting guns within city limits.
The bottom line is residents in Pataskala can fire a weapon in designated discharge areas of the city.
We confirmed this information by checking the codified ordinances.
"Why is it okay for some people to discharge a fire arm inside city limits, but it is not okay for other people? It should be city wide one way, or city wide the other way," said Dale Summers.
ODNR advises anyone who witnesses a hunter shooting outside of the designated dates, times and places, to call their local police department
