Yeah,..
Black Sunday,...that is what i nicknamed yesterdays events.
Hummid air,High Winds, circlular in motion at times and very strong up and down drafts.
I saw dust devils or mini twisters in my yard and in the corn filed behind me.
The corn that once stood thick and tall is laid over in patches and looks like someone came along and trimmed the tops of the stocks.
Roofing, siding, lawn chairs and yard decorations flew by me and over me,..then night fell upon us all,and no light to be seen for miles,or anywhere near.
Darkest I have ever seen it,..yet we were under a full moon that was covered by clouds of grey.
14 hours after the high winds came through and left me with $1800.00 in damages and others with alot more,..power was restored to LOCKBOURNE Ohio,...But Columbus is still in the dark.
Businesses closed and shop keepers are only there to protect there stores from theives who will likely see this as their finest hour to rob and steal.
Now Dark Monday is upon Columbus,..and with it being said that AEP is reduced in man power due to the hurricaine in Texas (IKE),...it is said that Columbus may be without power and other resources as long as 3 to 7 days.Due to AEP volunteers going to Taxas to help in that desaster.
And why I am saying all this ,its simple really big city life is no better then anywhere else, and just because you live in the city dont think civilagtion is better then good ole Country living.
I pray for those who really need the electric, and phone services, and I hope it can all be restored ASAP !!!!
God Bless
