Hey Kids,...
You have very little time to get ready for your gun season.
I hope you all have been practicing shooting and looking at pictures of deer in different stances so you can get an idea of what you may have to do if that deer presents a shot or a no shot.
Always remember one thing be PATIENT !!!
Don't hurry your hunt,or your shot, this could result in missing or just wounding your deer.
Watch the deer as he/she comes into range and watch their actions.
If deer are stopping and holding their place and not moving too good,it could be due to alot of different factors.
1. being that they are weary of a smell or sound,
OR they might have your scent but can't pin point where you are or where the scent is coming from.
Moving in the stand or on the ground is a bad idea too,try to stay still and have everything you need ready before you get cozy in your stand or chair.
It is very important that you wear your hunter orange, and possibly even hang some ORANGE ribbon close to your stand.
It might be a good idea to try your clothes on and sit in your stand or chair with everything on so you can get used to moving with your hunting gear in hand on the clothes your wearing.
Always be PREPARED for anything,!!!!
ANYTHING could happen and it could be that big buck you don't expect.
1 More thing efore I close,..
Don't over use your cover scent or doe - p, or #69,..it can cause deer to shy away and with the #69 even cause deer (BUCKS),to act goofy meaning they could think your a doe and come after ya.
I have seen it happen to a cousin of mine and he was hurt real bad due to using too much Tink's #69.The stuff really works !!!
OKAY Kids,..and as always
BE SAFE OUT THERE and listen to your parents.
